Cohort supports Chelsea’s Institute of Cancer Research (ICR)
‘Carols from Chelsea’ at Chelsea’s Royal Hospital is a highlight of the season. Our Creative Director is a member of the carols event committee, supporting advertising, providing creative guidance, auction donations and sponsorship.
This is the flagship event of the ICR’s fundraising calendar and has raised a total of £1.9 million, funds which support the Institute of Cancer Research in its mission to make the discoveries that defeat cancer.
Many Chelsea locals do not know about the breakthrough research and treatment work taking place every day by cancer scientists at the ICR – Institute of Cancer Research on Fulham Road in Chelsea. The carols service every December, not only raises awareness for the ICR but also raises an incredible amount of money for the charity that funds the research.

Unlike other cancer research charities, the ICR is not an intermediary broker and is therefore a highly efficient charity. Donations go directly to the research budget so those volunteering for the charity and attending fundraising events can be assured that their contributions genuinely effect change.
Champagne carols at The Royal Hospital 2023
Sponsored by Laurent-Perrier, this year’s event was as magical as ever. Celebrity readers took to the pulpit in the Wren Chapel at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, to present Christmas tales and readings with magnificent performances from comedian Jack Dee, actor Vincent Franklin, and presenters Gaby Roslin and Penny Smith.
